Toby Webb is a recognized global leader in sustainability. Founder of Innovation Forum, Sustainable Wine Roundtable, and co-founder of Insect Biotech Group. Prior to founding the Innovation Forum, Tobias founded and ran the Ethical Corporation from 2001 to 2014 (a publishing, events, media, and research/advisory firm that is now owned by Reuters).
Toby founded Innovation Forum in 2014, focusing on debate, research, and discussions to act as a ‘platform for change’ via conferences and online events. IF now works with companies such as Nestle, Walgreens Boots Alliance, Bayer, Golden Agri Resources, APRIL, and many others on stakeholder engagement strategy.
He created and co-chaired the Independent Working Group on Corporate Responsibility, which reported to David Cameron, and co-authored the UK’s national approach to responsible business, published in 2009.
He has been responsible for more than 100 conferences around the world on sustainable business since 2001 and has published more than 1500 blog posts, 9000 articles, and more than 20 research reports on the topic. He’s worked with many of the world’s largest companies and most influential NGOs as a journalist, commentator, facilitator, trainer, and consultant.
In 2019, Webb founded Sustainable Wine Ltd, and in 2021, the Sustainable Wine Roundtable, a collection of more than 70 wine businesses and key stakeholders, that focuses on sustainability transformation in the sector.
Tobias teaches Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability at King’s College London, Birkbeck, and the Stockholm School of Economics to both MSc and undergraduate students and speaks regularly at conferences and meetings all over the world.
