With over 30 years of experience investing in Africa, Francis Daniels is the CEO of Anibok Investment Research Chambers (Pty) Ltd in South Africa and a Director of Africa Opportunity Partners, LLC, the investment manager of the Africa Opportunity Fund, which trades on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange.
Mr. Daniels has been investing in Africa since 1994 and has served on several boards of African-related companies. He is currently a member of the boards of directors of Masawara PLC, an investment holding company with operations in Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Botswana; the supervisory board of the Meridiam Africa Infrastructure Fund, Sand Technologies, and the Mandela Institute for Development Studies.
Before focusing on African-listed equity and debt securities, Mr. Daniels was a corporate lawyer and worked for several years in both Africa and in the State of New York. He was also a columnist for 234Next and a founder of the Africa Finance Review.
Mr. Daniels holds an LL.B degree from the University of Ghana, a LL.M degree from the University of Toronto, and a LL.M degree and a LL.M (Corporations) degree from New York University Law School. He resides in Johannesburg.
