Gifty Owusu-Nhyira is a versatile banking professional with more than 12 years of industry experience. After completing her MSc in Risk Management and Finance at the University of Kent, United Kingdom, she became an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana (ACIB, Ghana) in 2011.
As the Regional Coordinator for Ecobank West Africa, Gifty is dedicated to spearheading comprehensive initiatives that integrate environmental, social, and economic sustainability into the core operations of Ecobank Ghana and four other West African countries. She has experience in sustainable finance and a proven track record in developing and implementing impactful strategies. She is committed to ensuring that the bank remains at the forefront of responsible banking practices.
In the Environmental and Sustainability space, Gifty has been a practitioner member of the Institute of Environmental Management Assessment, UK, since 2021 and has now been awarded the full membership status as a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv).
Gifty is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA (Sustainability Professional Program).
